Has the Learner a deadline to book?

Yes, the Learner must book no later than 7 pm of the day before.

Can my lessons be sold in a in package?

Tutors will be able to package their lessons. If a Learner decides to make a booking request for a package of lessons, he/she will have to prepay for that Tutor’s lessons through the Easylore Platform.

How do I receive payments?

In order to receive a payment, the Tutor must have a valid payout method linked to his/her EL Account.

All moneys collected by us in a month, shall within seven (7) days of the next month, be applied in or towards payment of the commission of 20% of the Total Fee, and the remaining moneys shall, through the Tutor’s Payout Method, be paid to the Tutor.

How do you manage the personal data concerning me?

All personal data that is provided by Tutors to us will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

I need to take time off next week, how do I manage my booking?

Our rules on cancellation by Tutors will apply in this situation.

What if a Learner contests his/her presence at the lesson?

We will check whether the Tutor and the Learner have previously confirmed their attendance at the lesson. We may also refer to the communications between the Learner and Tutor that have been recorded and stored on the Easylore Platform.

How can I report an issue?

Is there an attendance confirmation?

At the end of each lesson, the Tutor must confirm his/her attendance at the lesson. It is important for Tutors to confirm their attendance at lessons as this may affect payments to the Tutors.

An email will also be sent to the Learner for his/her confirmation of attendance and evaluation of the lesson. If the Learner does not respond within 48 hours after the lesson, the attendance of the Tutor for the lesson will be automatically confirmed.

What happens if I cancel a lesson?

If a Tutor notifies the Learner in writing at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance before cancelling a confirmed booking, the Tutor may reschedule the booking according to his/her availability. If the Tutor does not reschedule the booking, the Learner will be entitled to receive a full refund of all amounts paid in respect of that booking.

If a Tutor notifies the Learner in writing less than twenty-four (24) hours in advance before cancelling a confirmed booking, the Learner may request for a full refund of all amounts paid in respect of that booking, or reschedule another booking with the Tutor to replace the cancelled booking.

What happens if a Learner cancels a lesson?

If a Learner notifies the Tutor in writing at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance before cancelling a confirmed booking, the Tutor may reschedule the booking according to his/her availability. If the Tutor is not able to reschedule the booking, the Learner will be entitled to receive a full refund of all amounts paid in respect of that booking

If a Learner notifies the Tutor in writing less than twenty-four (24) hours in advance before cancelling a confirmed booking, the Learner will not be entitled to receive any refund of any amounts paid, unless the Tutor agrees otherwise.

Once I receive my booking, how should I prepare for the lesson?

It is a Tutor’s responsibility to prepare for the lesson by considering the Learner’s expectations and goals. Tutors are encouraged to communicate with the Learners before the lesson, so that all the parties are aligned on the expectations and goals of the lesson.

I have received a booking, can I speak with the Learner prior to the lesson?

All communication between Tutors and Learners are to be conducted through the Easylore Platform. There is a message function on the Easylore Platform, which allows Tutors to communicate with their Learners prior to a lesson after a booking request has been made. Do note that every conversation is being recorded to ensure that inappropriate terms are not used, and in the event such behavior is detected or found, the appropriate measures will be taken, which includes barring the Tutor and/or the Learner from accessing and using the Easylore Platform.

Can I decline a lesson booking request?

A Learner will only be able to submit a booking request for lessons by a Tutor based on the Tutor’s availability as reflected on the Tutor’s calendar on the Tutor’s profile page. Accordingly, all booking requests are automatically accepted once payment has been made by the Learner.

 

If a Tutor wishes to cancel a booking request, the Tutor can find the relevant rules on Cancellation and Refund in the Terms & Conditions will apply.

How do I specify my vacation time on the schedule?

If bookings have not been made during the intended vacation period, a Tutor can block out the specific dates on his/her calendar on the Easylore Platform.

Can I report my availability and requirements to prospective Learners?

Every Tutor is able to configure his/her profile to reflect his/her availability. The following are examples of the type of information that can be displayed on his/her listing:

  1. available days;
  2. teaching timings;
  3. location of lessons;
  4. price per hour; and
  5. type of lessons (e.g. online lessons, one-on-one lessons, group lessons, special needs lessons, etc.).

If I have registered as a Tutor, can I register as a Learner as well?

Yes, a person can register as a Learner as well as a Tutor. However, different login credentials will be required for the Learner EL Account and the Tutor EL Account.

A Learner is asking for contact information or suggestions to deal outside the Easylore Platform. What should I do?

Please explain to the Learner that being part of the Easylore community, you are bound by Easylore’s rules and practices. Thus, you will not be able to deal with the Learner outside the Easylore Platform.

Will my mobile number be visible to Learners?

No. All communications between Learners and Tutors must take place through the Easylore Platform.

Can I search for Learners?

The Easylore Platform only allows Learners to search for Tutors.

Can I delist my profile?

A Tutor can write to us at contact@easylore.com to deactivate his/her profile. The Tutor will block out all dates on the Tutor’s calendar, but the Tutor will have to fulfil any bookings already made. In such circumstances, we will deactivate the Tutor’s profile at the end of the last lesson.

What is Forever Plan?

The Forever Plan enables Tutors to be listed on the Easylore Platform forever. However, if a Tutor does not receive any booking for six months consecutively, that Tutor’s profile may be removed from the Easylore Platform.

Is listing on the Easylore Platform free?

Tutors will not be charged for listing on the Easylore Platform.

What do I need to do to get listed on the Easylore Platform?

Any qualified person can apply to be listed as a Tutor on the Easylore Platform. He/she will have to upload identity proof, his/her CV and any other document or information that may be requested by Easylore as part of the application process. Our team will manually review the profile of each Tutor. During the review process, we pay close attention to the level of profile completeness and its quality, as well as the qualifications of the Tutor.

Are there any prerequisites before I can be listed as a Tutor on the Easylore Platform?

Before a Tutor is listed on the Easylore Platform, the prospective Tutor will be requested to submit the diplomas or certificates that he/she has attained, to verify that he/she possesses the relevant qualifications and experience required for the proposed teaching engagement. Certificates will be published on the Tutor’s listing page.

What kind of Tutor is the Easylore Platform for?

The Easylore Platform is recommended for Tutors who want to conduct one-to-one private tuition lessons, group tuition lessons, online lessons or lessons for Learners with special needs. The Easylore Platform is perfect for professionals who want to provide tuition in their spare time.
