THE WONDER OF INTERNET

I remember the times when my grandparents told me that television did not exist during their childhood and I, a little girl, was amazed that they had witnessed this change in their lives: That they had lived the “without” and lived the “with”.
Now, I am the one who tells my children of the time when Internet did not exist and I explain to them how, studying in-depth, it was much more demanding: heavy books to retrieve, to read, analyze, identify the most relevant parts … now it’s their turn to be the marvellous witnesses of changes!
How rich this tool is! Our curiosity can get us anywhere, the links between topics are immediate and so we start looking for information on orchids and after reading the part related to botany we find that it lives in tropical areas, we are intrigued and since they allow us to further explore, we click and so we find another connection and another … and here I am on the Moon. The news says that the moon is a natural satellite, but what does it mean? I click again … I can go to where I do not even imagine at the beginning of my search!
